How can Ayurveda Cure Cholera?
Ayurveda believes that diseases such as Cholera are caused due to an entry of an external force in the form of V.cholerae into the body. It causes damage to all the three doshas, which are Pitta, Kapha, and Vata. It uses the Vata as a predominant factor and vitiates the Pitta dosha. It also says that the Pachak Pitta and Saman Vaayu give a response to the organism by dysregulating the Pachak Agni. This then results in the formation of 'Aam' and relocates the doshas also. Ayurveda has suggested using Bolabadhavati to be taken during Cholera. It should be taken once in the morning and evening along with buttermilk.
