What is Malaria?
Malaria is a life-threatening disease that is normally spread through the bite of the infected Anopheles mosquito. The infected mosquitoes carry the Plasmodium parasite. It is transmitted by blood, and hence, it can also be transmitted through an organ transplant, use of shared needles, and transfusion. The symptoms of malaria are:
- profuse sweating
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Muscle pain
- Shaking chills
- Blood in stools
Complications of Malaria are:
- the blood vessels of the brain are swollen
- organ failure of the liver, spleen, and kidney
- anemia due to the rupturing of the RBCs
- accumulation of fluid in lungs which causes breathing problems
How can Ayurveda cure Malaria?
Ayurveda recommends certain herbs that may help the patient recover from extreme weakness. It is suggested to use Vishamajwarantakaloha as an effective medicine for Malaria. This medicine is used to treat malaria and other complicated fevers. It is taken along with a decoction made up of honey and ginger. It also brings the liver and spleen back to its normal size and improves the appetite. Other than this, Ayurveda has one more remedy to cure malarial fever, which is Seetabhanjana Rasa. It is treated to cure chills and control fevers that occur at short intervals. It can also be used to treat malaria infections.
Malaria is an infectious disease caused by a parasite, Plasmodium, which infects red blood cells. Malaria is characterized by cycles of chills, fever, pain, and sweating. Historical records suggest malaria has infected humans since the beginning of mankind.
Vishamajwarantakaloha : Effective medicine for malarial and chronic fevers & complicated fevers.
DOSAGE : 1 g = 5 doses. Can be used with decoction of maricha and ginger or with honey.
Srijayamangalarasa : Useful in chronic fevers, malarial fever and unspecified fevers. A trusted remedy for fevers.
DOSAGE : 1 g = 5 doses. With juice of tulasi (or) bhringaraj leaves and honey under medical supervision.
Seetamsurasa : A reputed ayurvedic product. Useful in malarial fever.
DOSAGE : 1g = 4 doses. With the juice of tulasi leaves for fevers like malaria.
