UPI or Unified Payment Interface is a new mobile first payment mode for making payments to friends or businesses. This is launched by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and regulated by RBI.

UPI is built over Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) for transferring funds using Virtual Payment Address(VPA). VPA is a unique ID provided by the bank to a customer. A customer requires an MPIN (Mobile banking Personal Identification number) to confirm each payment.

PayUmoney, through its checkout pages, allows your customers to Pay to you using UPI as a payment method on our checkout pages. This does not require any extra integration changes at your end.

EMI

If you are a merchant selling high-value goods or services, your customers might find it convenient to pay the total amount in installments. PayUmoney has partnered with various banks to provide this option to customers on our checkout pages so that your customers have one more reason to buy your product and thus enjoy very high success rates.

Since EMI(Equated Monthly Installments) as an option is extended by Banks to their customers you as a merchant will get your settlements as per the agreed settlement cycle for the full amount without any delay. That is, other words, the entire credit risk is born by the banks.
